Anyone have an iPhone 16 and not getting YouTube notifications?

I did do a quick transfer from the 13 to the 16 and I though maybe that was it, so I wiped the 16 and set it up without doing the transfer. That did not correct the issue so I redid the quick transfer to get my stuff on the new phone.

There are a few other apps I noticed I did not receive on the 16, but did on the 13 before I sent it back to Apple (trade-in).

Have you double checked your YouTube notification settings? What settings did you choose?

And the what general notification settings did you set for the phone?

Everything is configured as it was on the iPhone 13. Other notifications work. With X, for example, I get notifications all the time no problem.

To keep this discussion simple, I left out the fact I have the same exact issue with an iPad 11 I traded up to from an iPad 7 at the same time as the phone.

Same OS version on the device you changed from?
Can you see if the youtube app has been updated recently? Just so it isn't related to the app.

There has been a few Youtube updates, one 1 day ago, one 1 week ago another one 2 weeks ago.
Not saying its the app but it could be a bug in the app since they have been updated quite recently.

When you transfered to the new phone apps are downloaded and it could be the case that the app was older on the phone you came from.

This is an issue I am experiencing as well. I have not received YouTube notifications on my M3 iPad Air since picking it up in April. I was receiving notifications from YouTube on my 13PM, but since upgrading to 17PM it doesn’t receive them either. All other notifications work on both devices, just YouTube is not. I have deleted the app and reinstalled on both, nothing seems to fix the notifications.

I had this issue too when moving to my iPhone 17. I solved this by removing the YouTube app, rebooting my phone, and reinstalling the YouTube app. Hope this helps

I am giving it a try on the 17PM and iPad now. I have removed the app from both multiple times but never a reboot in between uninstall and reinstall. Worth a shot.

Just updated my iPhone 16 and iPad 11 to iOS 26.1 Release Candidate #1 and I'm getting YouTube notifications again!

It didn't work under beta 4.

One thing, it looks like it's only working on the notification screen. I don't think I've seen any banners yet. But, it's an improvement.

Update: Seeing banners on iPad now!

Yeah I am seeing notifications too. I don’t know if it is the blistering feedback I sent Google from the app or finally an uninstall and reinstall of the app on my iPad and iPhone that made it start working. I am also on the RC.
