noatime still recording last access time?

Hello,
I recently upgraded to an SSD drive and performed various tweaks, including the noatime tweak. When I open the terminal, my drive does have the noatime in the output, but when I open a file and then check the last access time in the get info window, it still records it. Does that mean noatime is not working?
