According to iH8snow, the current hardware exploits are patched and will not work on the iPad 2.
We're SOL right now. Not only is the Limerain exploit closed, but the SHAtter one is as well. I think this brings the JB community back to square one.
Don't be so melodramatic. The developers who find these jailbreaks are extremely good at what they do, and I doubt it will be long before another exploit is found.
how long did it take to develop a JB for the last ipad after the new iOS software update came out? WOuld that be an indication of how long it would take to JB our new Ipad2s?
Six months seems a little extreme. Before the end of April is probably a better estimation.
It's a start, but it's tethered.
That's only iOS 4.3 on 1st Gen iPad's, Phones and Pods. Currently there is nothing for the iPad2.
The issue isn't the OS, its the bootloader which is new and old holes patched.

Congrats to @comex for jailbreaking yet another brand new device (iPad2) while 2500 miles away from it!

@9to5mac (yeah: that's my iPad 2, not @comex's: he jailbroke it remotely)
