My early 2009 Mini (I use it solely as a media centre running Plex) started making a noise sporadically a few weeks ago, really loud, sounds like a duff fan or similar. It didn't do it all the time, just every so often.
Tonight it started doing it then shutdown itself. I rebooted it, and there was no noise this time, but after about 10 mins it turned itself off again.
If it IS a fan issue, any idea how much an Apple Store (UK) would charge to fix this?]
