Hi everyone. I just got a used 13-inch Early 2015 MacBook Pro. It's in fantastic condition, but I've noticed that the keyboard makes a lot of noise.

It's significantly noisier than the keyboard on my 15-inch Mid 2014 model. Is this consistent with anyone else's experience? I wonder if it could be because the previous owner was a hard typer and broke the keys in? Maybe I'll get used to it, but currently it's bugging me a little bit - I like my keyboards quiet.

I've attached a video (might have to turn up your volume to hear) comparing the two keyboards.

Maybe it's pretending to be 2016 :) My Early 2015 doesn't make this noise, to answer your question, but we have a few of these from different years and the noise level is not consistent between them, not as loud as the one in your video though.

;) Yep. It only took me a second upon trying the new MacBook Pros in the store to know that I wouldn't be able to stand the new keyboards. That's why I hunted out the best 2015 model I could find.

If this bugs me enough maybe I'll consider replacing the keyboard, if it's not too big of a pain.

I'm with you on the new MBP, feels like cheap junk to me. I had a keyboard replaced on 2015 along with a top case. Wouldn't do it myself, but did it at the repair shop, only took them a few hours.

Thanks. I might do it if I can be reasonably certain it will fix the issue.
