iPhone 5c with latest iOS. I don't know how to shut up the keyboard when I'm texting or other non-Siri work. I've scoured settings & don't know what is set wrong.

It's in the Sounds section of Settings and the particular option there is the Keyboard Clicks one (the one to which the red arrow points to in the image included above).
Sounds are already set as you describe

Then there really shouldn't be any sounds from pressing on keyboard keys as you are typing.

What keyboard are you using--the one that is default in iOS or a different third party one?

Do all keys make a sound (that is the same) or only particular keys?

What kind of a sound?

Is it anywhere where the keyboard comes up and you type something?
