Just got my 2017 12" MB, and while I like the KB, I find it [or rather my wife does, especially when she is trying to sleep, and I am working] MUCH more noisy than my older 2015 MB Pro.

Is this a defective KB or are these noisier?

Edit: Searched and found that it is a known 'issue'. Dunno how to delete a thread though. I did not search earlioer, as the sound is so very different that I actually thought there might be an issue with mine.

The noise was there as Apple thought it would fix the complain about key depth.

Clever isn't it /s
 
It´s really a shame to make a MacBook without a fan, so that it should be silent to use e.g. in a library or a bedroom, but making a keyboard that has a noise like a Clackingtosh. Does it make sense? Will this be changed/corrected in newer iterations of the MacBook 12?
