I just wanted to post some brief impressions after spending one plus month with my Nokia Icon. Before my Icon, I was using a Galaxy Note for a couple of years and iPhone 5s for a month (before selling the iPhone).

    Likes:
-Screen. The 5" screen size hits my sweet spot, and the overall quality is absolutely impressive. The ability to view the screen in sunlight was an unexpected delight.
-Wireless charging. Once you actually use wireless charging, you can't really go back.
-OS. To me, it's better than iOS. I only used iOS7 for a month, but I have used iOS in the past, and I still can't stand the absence of an app drawer. Live tiles is also useful to me for emails and the occasional headline. In terms of smoothness, both seem equally smooth. Both are smoother than Jelly Bean (but I haven't used Kit Kat extensively). There are other points that I can make in favor (and against) but trying to keep this brief.
-Camera. Overall, the camera on the Icon is fantastic. It is of better overall quality than the iPhone. However, if all you do is post on FaceBook, then people won't notice the difference. I actually will use the larger pic file on occasion to crop so it is definitely useful. The iPhone does, however, focus much more quickly so you are less likely to miss a shot.

    Dislikes:
-Storage. A mini-SD card slot should a requirement for a phone like this.
-Battery Life. It's sufficient and actually better than my one month old iPhone 5s, but everyone wants extra juice. This is where I miss my Galaxy Note the most since it had a replaceable battery.
-Google Apps. Overall, the app selection is actually great for what I need daily (more so than anticipated). However, there is one set of apps that are missing, and I guessing many people miss the same: Google Apps. While most of what I do now through the cloud is through OneDrive and MS web apps, there is still one or two documents that I still have on Google Drive. Not having native Google support is a bit of bummer, but it is what it is

I'm an owner of the Icon as well, welcome to the family :)

I'm happy with the battery, performance and screen. As for apps, I'm generally satisfied, true its not as expansive as iOS or Google, but I'm finding most of what I need.

Ive messed with this numerous times at the Microsoft store and wish ATT would have it or a similar phone coming out.

Really like the look of this phone and feels great.

Same here...i wish AT&T had the Icon. I would have gotten one by now. I almost got one for $400 on CL.......but it was the Verizon World phone. So it would work on AT&T but it would only H+ and not 4G or LTE.

I just picked up a 1020. Still waiting for the 930 to finally release here, but I'm very happy with camera performance on the 1020 so far.

Has there been any discussion of the next big WP for ATT or what we have now such as the 1520 and such going to be it for the year?

The only confirmed WP going to AT&T this summer is the Lumia 635.

Rumor wise regarding flagship phones, I hear things like a 1020 update, but nothing concrete.

Regarding battery life. The gsmarena bettery test for the Icon is quite disappointing compared to other 5" flagships.

Obviously, this poor result could be an anomaly.

To those of you who have used multiple 5" flagship phones, how would you compare the battery life on the Icon to other phones you've owned recently?

Beautiful phone, only thing holding me back is lack of a stylus and it seems a bit chunky. I wish I could hack WP onto my Note 3.

Messed around with this phone again today in the Microsoft store and want it so bad but dont have Verizon!

I was talking to the guy and he said they are releasing the same exact phone on ATT later this year but will be called something else.

I know we have heard that here and there as well as on these boards so I truly hope so as I would get it in a heartbeat as I cant take this Note 3 anymore.

I hope and pray this is true. I'd trade my 1520 for the 930 in a heartbeat!

I wouldn't mind getting an icon, but I'm concerned battery life would be less than my g2. I know both are quite different step up from my old 8X though.

Lumia 930 should be dropping for ATT and TMobile soon. It's basically a GSM Icon.

Hopefully the delay will bring the Qualcomm 801.

I don't have a G2, but my Icon lasts all day and then some. I charge it up over night by my nightstand and by the end of the work day I'll have about 60 to 40 percent of battery. That's with some calls, a handful of light games, surfing, emails and some streaming via Pandora.

That's not bad at all. I work in a poor reception area, so if I can have 20% at the end of a work day I'm happy. It sounds like the Icon would be able to do that.

I have a co worker on T-Mobile. At our work he gets very poor reception on LTE. So he turns it off. He uses NFC tags to turn it off at his desk and NFC tags to turn it on once he is in his car. You could try that......so your phone is trying to make that network connection and chew up your battery......

I'll have to try that. Usually I barely get 3G, much less LTE at work.

I'm a relatively high user of LTE, and my Icon will last the entire day with about 30% remaining.
