this is a great little hack, now the iPad really is instant on! no more sliding to unlock, just straight back to whatever was on the screen before the iPad was put to sleep. not using it on my iPhone since I prefer to have lockinfo.

I dotn think so, if screen goes off pad is off, so that means all we are getting rid of is the inconvenience of sliding to unlock

Been using this for a couple of days, it's pretty awesome. I just never understood how moronic it was for Apple to have us slide to unlock AND enter in a passcode. Pretty sweet now just powering up right to the passcode.

Seconded! I do like this hack/app, but I also miss being able to see the time on idle like how it is on my iPod.

yeah i love the hack for my ipad. works awesome on my iphone 4 also. slide to unlock was so annoying when i was working on something, phone slept. if a phone call or text comes in the lockscreen is there, so no accidental pocket dialing.

I don't have a clock in my apartment, so I always grab the nearest device and check the time on that... can't do that with the iPad anymore 😀

What if it comes on by accident? Seems like with the lock screen if I turn it on but din' t mean to, I can just let it go off in a few seconds. So, I do think it would affect it a little.

I do already have a tap to unlock running and is a main reason to jb. I wish apple gave us a choice to turn it off.
