We've officially lost all meaning to the word "pro"
Wait until they get around to diluting "studio"

Tracking Card Studio, Airpods Studio......

I wonder if credit card companies are working on how to integrate a find-my feature in their cards?

Apple should absolutely turn titanium Apple Card into one of these.

Kill two birds with one stone.
Needs a replaceable battery. All that tracking drains the battery. Would not fit into the reader slot, too thick. Would work For tapping.

I have one of these in my passport wallet. It works great. Whenever I think crap where is my passport, I can check and see oh left it in the hotel or didn’t lose it at the airport it’s at home. It works great and is simple to recharge and tells you on iPhone when it needs charged. It’s great. The tech is good. If the Pro model is actually thicker, get the standard it works great.

If someone steals your wallet, a tracking card that looks like a credit card might not be thrown out by a savvy thief that does a cursory check for tracking devices.
Right, a 2.5mm credit card looks totally innocent !
Even the 0.8mm Apple card looks enormous.

Trying to make it look like a real card when it's that thicc is silly. And if your wallet was actually stolen for real, you should just cancel your cards and consider it gone. The cheaper, thinner version of this makes more sense.

Total softball article, I think the most important critique would be comparing it to the size of a standard credit/debit card yet that’s not mentioned once. I think nomad makes crap and pays a pretty penny for these posts.

Also every time I have a problem with an article it’s the same author.

It can chime, why can’t you find it by its noise? Thats how find my iphone when I misplace it in the house.
Most of these aren’t very load, and a wallet attenuates the sound; making it even harder to hear.

I find it hard to believe a "savvy thief" would keep any stolen wallet longer than the time it takes to get to a trash can somewhere where they won't be seen. With contactless shopping I could see them trying to keep the credit cards long enough to swipe for something small at a convenience store before you have them cancelled, but without actual wording on the card it shouldn't be mistaken for a credit card.

Thieves probably wouldn't know this*, but that was actually a smart card form factor before it came to credit cards. I wonder if those pads on the surface are actually connected, and if the card is reprogrammable?

*unless it's someone from Leverage trying to steal your card to get into your company's building, in which case you have bigger problems, like being a baddie.

Sure, the 2.5mm thick credit card in your wallet that says “Tracking Card Pro” on the back won’t be suspicious at all to a thief! You have nothing to worry about.

i wonder why this is so much thicker than the original one. if the main draw is that it looks like just another credit card, being that thick isn't terribly convincing.

they could just have made the original look more like a credit card. i have one and it's superior to the tiles and the anker ones for sure.
I’m assuming the increased battery life and possibly materials used for the card.

I have the standard. Would be better with precision tracking. But IMO it is on the thick side of functional in my wallet. The 16 month recharge vs 5 months makes no sense to me and does not increases the value proposition at all. (Does this mean we could have a thinner version that needs recharged every three months? Sign me up for the Tracking Card Air!!)

Been using the tracking card for well over a year and a big fan but absolutely confounding to me they'd opt to make it thicker for more battery life when 5 months is already plenty long.

The longer battery life is a great change. However without precision finding, I will most probably not be getting one.
