It never ceases to amaze me the market for “protection” for Apple devices. I recently discovered that you can buy silicone covers for the AirPod Max cups, a silicone cover for the band and a silicone protector for the earpads. Apple is not the first in the “high” audio headphones market, there are several brands selling products over $1k, beyond cases I never saw the same protection-craziness that happens around the Max.

Not sure if this came from the idea that Apple products keeps its value over time (not sure if it’s true anymore -ask anyone trying to sell a 2016 or 2017 MB Pro) and for that they should keep them pristine for the next user.

But for me is an unhealthy relationship with stuff, stuff that you paid a premium to enjoy the design instead of cover it with ten’s of $5 silicone pieces.

I agree. Cases can prevent damage from drops and add function for some people, but I do hate having to cover up the devices.

I’ve went months without a case on my iPhone 12 and it’s holding up surprisingly well. No major scuffs or scratches even with a couple of indoor drops, and you really have to hold it at a certain angle in the right light to make out a couple of hairline marks on the edges. By far the most aesthetically-durable iPhone I’ve owned. (Just hoping I don’t drop it on the bare concrete tomorrow).

I have the Spiegen clear covers and silicon cover for the band. For what I paid I want them super safe.

The Leather Cover for ‌MagSafe‌ is available in rustic brown and black Horween leather, and each cover has a soft microfiber exterior that does not do any damage to the ‌MagSafe‌ Charger.
Uh, I thought it was leather on the exterior. Pretty sure the microfiber is on the interior if there's concern about it causing damage to the charger.

I think I am going to produce (and sell, for sure...) a cover for the charging cable.
"skin" I will call it..
