I would have thought that the set of folks willing to spend $110++ for a charging solution would overlap a lot with the set of folks who have several devices to charge. It's not rocket science to charge multiple devices, and there's certainly a lot of room for premium over the $32 that I paid for three device charging. No it isn't metal etc but it did come with a charger, and it has charged phone/watch/air pods reliably for quite some time. Surely they could find a way to provide better value.

I don't really understand the popularity and ubiquity of MagSafe charging docks. Terribly inconvenient if you use a MagSafe wallet, requires two hands to remove (unless the dock is somehow attached to the table), creates all that heat which surely deteriorates the lifetime of the battery… I get it for travel devices, but Lightning is so much better for docks. (yeah, I know, USB-C this year…)

20W USB-C Power Adapter not included. This saves on environmental waste, keeps packaging sizes smaller, and lowers our carbon footprint

Interesting that the puck extends out beyond the face - but I understand why. I have several 3rd-party “puck holders” around that I love - but they don’t work well with the latest iphones and the extended (wider surface area) camera bumps that keep them from sitting flush. I still prefer my Belkin 3-in-one to all the others. Only hurts the one time when you spend the $. (But then that’s the same story with Apple’s travel charger.)

They have lost their damn minds - While Nomad has been known to offer pricy toys and add-ons - Calling this thing the "One" is them entirely, outright effing with us. As I'm reading, I'm thinking, "oh! Will this be a higher-end version of the latest all-in-one charging stand on amazon, but with premium materials? Oooh, glass? Sure! Oh wait.. the power cord doesn't detach? It doesn't come with a power adapter? IT ONLY CHARGES THE DAMN PHONE?

I hadn't slept for almost 2 days, working on a project overdue last month, and this was a nice creative departure. Hope you enjoyed it. And it may be my delirium, but halfway through writing this, I think it has potential for a niche gag item. If any VCs care to invest, please get in touch! 🤷‍♂️😅 Thanks 👋🥴

Lol. I came to the comments to see what others thought and ended up ordering the Belkin Wireless charging stand for £20. Thankfully have a few chargers that can connect to it. So thanks to the poster who said they used that one instead !

Another ugly white charging puck on a black charger. Why can't companies make a single color charger?

Why the black with white puck? Makes it look ugly. They should have good designers over there this makes it look generic and cheap.

who would buy this? the white puck on black looks cheap and cobbled together and they're on crack at that price. The best charging dock made was the old discontinued fuse dock I still use to this day. if they came out with a modern MagSafe one I'd be all over that.
Apple’s MagSafe specs require the puck to be white. Same with Apple Watch chargers. It’s dumb but that’s why.

Edit: To clarify, any company that needs/wants Apple’s blessed certification has to follow all the specs, including that the puck be white. Any MagSafe-compatible but not actually MagSafe-certified charger like the Belkin one someone linked can be any color but will max out at 7.5W Qi speed instead of 15W.

This One charger design an tech costs more than an Apple TV … lolol. Anyway, their preying people that love baloney … until a year ago or so ago was a growing market in the US.

I bought their Base Station Stand, the previous model for Qi charging, MSRP $99.95 but I bought it for somewhere around $65 during a Nomad sale. And yes it included an 18 watt charger. The build quality was excellent, and it had an interesting feature, you could put your AirPods case on that little foot on the back and it could charge from that spot (not at the same time as the phone though). It also had a detachable USB-C connector, that sold me on the stand since I was shifting to all USB-C.
Anyway, keep an eye on this long term if you think it's expensive, Nomad has holiday sales and other random discounts.

Nomad pricing things as Nomad does... 25% more than it should be. I love Nomad, but they're pricing is a bit extra lately.

Before knee-jerk responses, as is the MO here on MR, perhaps one could ask themselves if there are color options. A quick click on the link would bring you to their web site where, wait for it..., there is a choice of colors that would satisfy your hatred of white on black.

And FYI, white on black is a terrific color combo. Not at all ugly. Now white on white or black on black would be quite ugly!
White with black clashes pretty badly. Depends on who you ask but as far looking clean those color combos looks bad togetber imo. White on white is much classier looking.

Same as doing a black puck with white stand. Just looks off to me. Draws your attention to it too much. Should blend it to itself

You're entitled to your opinion but I believe you'd be in the minority. White with black accents or vice versa is a very popular combo.

As an interior designer sure they go well with things in general. But in things like this not so much
