Non-sense with Date Added/Modified in Playlist

So I have the MP3s since I was 7th grade, which was 10 years ago and I just move them from laptop to laptop, when I buy one. What I have noticed is that even though I have added a new custom Mp3 (for instance, it is like this with bunch of songs) song to my playlist, when Date Modified is selected, the song is shown as if it was added quite some time ago. When Date Added is selected, the new songs are ok, but the one from last year lets say a total mess. What can I do ?
