Just wondering if there's a way to retain access to the US App Store whilst signed-in to the Vision Pro on my UK appleid?

I know I can add a second account, but obviously, with my UK account signed-in as primary, the App Store just isn't recognised. I can sign out with my UK one, sign-in with the US one, download what I need and then sign back-in with the UK one but that's not great.

Any workarounds or do I just need to be patient?

Yes, you can log into your UK iCloud account then once set up is done go into settings, media and purchases and log into your US account there. That way you will have the US App Store and UK iCloud. If you have any subscriptions such as Apple Music or Apple TV+ on the UK account you can't access them while logged into the US though.

And you need an US creditcard to make purchases. There is a website that sells US apple giftcard. It can be used to purchase or rent movies and subscriptions. Only downside is, you can’t use your UK subscriptions like Apple Music or ATV+. But for me it’s a minor tradeoff

Thanks, will try that now.

I remember doing this a lot to get US movie releases first and even longer ago when the first iPads came out.

While Vision Pro 1.2 now has the new regional settings (beyond USA), I just tried and the App Store does not work yet in Canada. Perhaps those countries with earlier releases will get access sooner. At least my temperature will be in Celsius now if I ask Siri.

I can confirm I have my “media & purchases” using an alternative email address tied to a gift card I purchased digitally on amazon–dot–com. No USA credit card was needed. At the time I was even able to redeem some promos for Apple services (via Target) since I was missing aspects Apple One access from my primary account have since expired but with the launch on the horizon all good. A good way to try the Arcade games. Oddly Apple Music works from my foreign account, I can see purchased media, but in the TV app no Apple TV+. Hence sticking to the US account.

Otherwise using my main account for everything else on the Vision Pro so I do have synced notes, files, etc. Both can be active at once.
