I think Time Machine might be slightly dyslexic. Any ideas? My back ups continually fail now. I have the bare minimum of needed space but its all I need(also all I have) I dont need more than a single back up. The going way back in time thing is unnecessary. Should I just go back to super duper! ?

Time Machine requires space to hold hourly backups for the last 24 hours, daily backups for the last week, weekly backups for the last month and stores any sequential weekly backups in the extra space. If you don't have enough space for the required backups it'll error out on you.

There isn't any configurability to change those requirements, so get a bigger drive or use SuperDuper I suppose.
