Just got my MBP 15 yesterday and feel like I thrown into an alternate reality of computers after using Windows for so long. I love it though! This is a real nit picky thing, but I'm used to clicking with my middle finger and then dragging files with my index finger. When doing this my index finger is below my middle finger on the trackpad and it doesn't want to move the file. If I click with my index finger and drag with my middle it works fine. Is there any fix for this or am I just too picky?

The bottom section of the trackpad (I guess about the bottom 1/3) is separated from the rest.

I would put my thumb at the bottom and lay it on its side, and use my index finger to point.

So... kind of try to use it like any other laptop.

MS Paint Example:

Click on the folder/application or what ever you want to move and just move your finger while holding down.

Or you can just do it the easy way and press on the icon with 2 fingers at a time and copying.

You could also try turning on tap-to-click in preferences. Then you double tap and hold to drag something around. There's also a drag-lock preference, I'm not fond of it but it might be worth a shot. :)

If you really don't like tap-to-click then try as others have said and click with your thumb and use your index finger to move the cursor.
