any1 knows how to make the folders background transparent ?
i tried to delete the background folder but that didn't work :(

There was a tweak called ClearFolders. You can try that. I think springtomize 2 also has an option for a clear folder.

i'm srry guys looks like i wasn't clear, i already have a folder icon that gives me the clear looks, which is what ClearFolders does,
what i meant was a way of making the actual folder background clear as in when i open a folder instead of the grey pattern background,
to have transparent 1, i understand i need to use a "FolderSwitcherBG@2x~iphone.png" file 4 it but can't figure how to make it transparent :(

tnx 4 the speedy replay tho i appreciate it :)

Just make a 24bit png file with the correct dimensions, transparency on, and nothing in it. Name it "FolderSwitcherBG@2x~iphone.png" and put it in the correct place. Rename the original beforehand.

tnx 4 the replay Chambone, i did as u said but something not working
when i check the file in web browser it does has the transparent effect,
but when i check it in different picture viewer software i get a white image
and if i place it in my iPhone it gives me a black background, what am i doing wrong ?

P.S. i attached the file i made and a screen shot of what i get on my phone:

Your png file looks good, it's transparent, but I noticed that it's 16 bits a channel. Maybe iPhones are not designed to handle that, I don't know. Try mine at 8 bits a channel

FolderSwitcherBG@2x~iphone.png
(maybe it doesn't show up, but it's there)

If that doesn't work I don't know what to tell you. If the default background of iOS folders with the picture removed is black, there's little that can be done to show your wallpaper through I suppose. You could get folderenhancer though, if all else fails.
