basically I have a report due tomorrow that cant be hand written or drawn.

10 pages and it has to include typing obviously, which I could use any word app for. But I also need to be able to draw block diagrams. To give you a better picture i have to design the blueprints and stuff for a room designing project. Along with labelling those block diagrams.

I have open office, would i be able to do it in that?

This may help. http://www.linuxjournal.com/content/creating-diagrams-openofficeorg-draw-and-impress

It can be done, just take some work. Use the Shapes tool to draw your boxes and I believe you can also add text inside. I played around with LibreOffice just now and it's workable but you have to jack with the alignment tools to get things right.
