I know this is probably a silly question but does buying an iPad through another vendor other than apple give you all the same benefits as you would buying straight through the apple store? As in apples warranty, the ability to return to/repair at an apple store itself (just incase of any problems) etc? I would usually buy through apple but here in the UK Tesco is doing a £30 off deal on tablets over £300 and then with the staff discount from a family member I can save another £40 - so some decent savings and maybe even more than Apple with offer on Black Friday . Thanks!

Yes, Apple stands behind its products regardless of where you bought them. Be sure you understand any return policies though. If you need to return your product, you have to return it to where you bought it from.
