Hey folks! So I was mowing the lawn today and left my iPhone inside with Bluetooth and wifi on. I tried to launch iHeartRadio from my watch, though it wouldn't connect. The person at the Apple Store told me that I should be able to listen to music apps if my phone and or my watch was connected to wifi.

Why didn't it work? Does anything come in over the watch if I'm out of Bluetooth range but still connected to wifi?

It depends on the app whether it's designed to work outside of range from your phone, so this sounds like an issue with your radio app than the watch.

Apple Music would have been fine in this scenario. It might be worth looking at other radio apps to see if they support this. Something like Radioplayer or TuneIn (2 im familiar with but have never used in this scenario)
