Noob Upgrading Question - New to Macs

Hello!

Got a quick question, not used to updating Macs to new OS's.

Anyways, just wondering if I decide to update to Lion via the App Store, will my files, documents, applications and their settings, still be there? (Albeit some cracked apps as well 🙄)

Just wondering about how updating works with Macs. Thanks!

Everything will still be there. You won't lose any data.
