Wanted to get a sense if this was the kind of battery life other people were getting with the new MBA's. I have an M1 MacBook Air 512gb HD 12gb RAM. Screen was at 350nits (~88%). Usage was mostly safari, browsing and watching YouTube. Some Spotify, and some messenger. Was just hoping to be getting more battery life. Seem to only be able to manage 8.5h of web browsing. Is my screen brightness killing my battery life that much?

I'm usually between 50-60% after 8 hours of web browsing/slack/spotify/zoom usage, but my screen brightness is always 25% or less. This is a base M1 MBA.

Was just using the MBA on battery today. Mixed use (browsing, spreadsheets, YouTube, some RDP). Nothing really heavy with brightness at 20%. I've still got 57% charge after 9 hours of onscreen time. This thing is great!
