North Carolina 6/6 Plus Store Stock

I'm not in North Carolina but you are the closer state thread to my home in GA. I was 10 minutes from a iPhone 6+ for AT&T at Best Buy today. They are getting random drop shipments at night so they said the mornings are the best shot. I used idevicechecker.com to see the stock at the BBY.

Pretty bummed I missed it by 10 minutes... I'll try online tonight and in the morning. Fingers crossed for everyone.

What time does BB open? I called and/or visited just about every electronics store that sales the 6+ between Greensboro and Durham today except for BB because I gave up for the day.
 
So people are lining up before the stores open each morning - but is this strategy worthwhile? If I were hypothetically the first in line, would I be almost guaranteed a 6 plus in my choice of carrier/capacity/color?

I'm stuck with a totally destroyed phone right now - shattered screen and chunks of glass falling out. I don't have anything to use in the interim! X.X

Also - how would one line up outside of a mall store, before opening? (the Apple store at Southpoint is outside... that one is easy)

Just have to get there way early outside the door closest to the store until they open it up. I think they open up doors earlier than official mall opening but don't quote me on that

If you're aiming for Crabtree and the mall opens at 10am, the actual building usually opens at 8am or earlier depending on the day. Generally the mall walkers are out there getting their cardio on trooping across every inch of the building well before any stores open for business.

I got to an apple store 10 minutes prior to opening yesterday and there were already at least 25 people in line. From what the store employee said they had been getting shipments of 6+ everyday since launch except for one day which I assume is Sunday because they don't deliver on Sundays. Can you get a 6+ if you are first in line? Unless your store is unlucky enough to not get a shipment prior to your arrival than you should be able to get one. Can you get a specific 6+? At this time I would just be content with getting a 6+ of any configuration unless I wanted to line up every morning until I got exactly what I wanted or the apple.com order wait decreased.

"Early bird gets the worm" is how it goes so I don't think it'd hurt or detract from your chances if you were out there at 9am unless you had to be at work and couldn't schedule adjust your work schedule or take time off.
 
I got there at 8:30. At 9:35 there were 20 people in line and a store employee came out to do reservations for people in line and she said the most recent shipment only had 1 6+ and it was for sprint so the entire front half of the line left because we all needed Verizon.

That's brutal. Seen a lot of places in the southeast have had Sprint +'s.

Yikes...looks like trying to reserve a + this week in NC might be bleak if they only got 1. Should have grabbed one yesterday...oh well.
 
I think I read somewhere that they are releasing the iphones in several countries this Friday and I wonder if that hasn't strained the supply of CDMA phones for this week.
 
I have a friend at a local Verizon store and she said they have not received a single + since launch. If anyone wants to settle for a 16gb silver Verizon +, try Sams Club in Morrisville. They had two yesterday.

I called three Verizon stores in the greensboro area and they laughed when I asked about 6+ shipments. They haven't received any more since the initial batch.

Has anyone seen the line in the mornings at the Crabtree store? I am contemplating going there tomorrow morning. Since you can wait inside I'm thinking people will go early. I could try at 8:00am, but I am not motivated enough to go any earlier than that.
 
Friendly is showing ATT 128GB 6+ gold...I wish I had time to drive over there...
