Norton Antivirus for Mac 10.1.2

iMac G4/1.25 RAM Flat Panel, OS 10.4.11, NAVM 10.1.2: Suddenly I'm getting NAV for Mac Alerts: "Scan Engine not installed", so I reinstall NAV for Mac 10.1.2 from CD (I can see it says installing scan engine, YET it never seems to get installed and the alert keeps coming back.) Whazzup?😕

Norton AV is a virus itself, I recommend getting rid of it.

The problem is in the software itself. Just... get rid of it. You won't have any viruses.

Mac virus programs exist to steal system resources.

IMO Norton is crap and it slows the system down .... get shot of it ... 😎

Norton is the worst AV app out there. And most of the good virus writers know how to disable Norton and just go around it. If you need virus protection for a virtual machine or a boot camp install then just go with AVG Free or the like:
