Norton Online Backup for Mac not working right

    Can't find backup settings or summary tab--the icon of my mac has a red x on it-- on the home page log it states errors (A1001) on three reports --- It seems to be in the backup stage on the wrong date---- and it shows backing up most of the time but 2 days behind. What is it and how can I get to someone to find out if I am really backed up? I bought it from Apple Store.
    Trying to backup my MacBook Pro.

    I used Symantec/Norton products when I had a PC, but support was always pretty much a waste of time. I was very happy to ditch the Norton stuff when I moved to Apple. I'd never consider a Norton/Symantec product again.
