Few days ago I sign in for first time with movies anywhere it's a really great option to have your movies together in my case from Vudu and iTunes, now I can see the movies from iTunes in Vudu and from vudu in itunes it was so great everything at this point was amazing but nothing is perfect right, Some movies HD from Vudu they are in 4K in iTunes but my big surprise was when I played king kong 2005 came from Vudu to iTunes is 4K in the movie description ,But when you play the movie on Apple TV 4K it only plays in HD not 4K and this happen with more movies from Vudu playing on apple tv 4k , The only movies play in 4K or movies purchase directly from iTunes. Today I talked with three different technical support people from Itunes and they can only explain me that because movies purchases from Vudu are in HD they're not able to play in 4K in Apple TV 4K . Also I asked them how I can delete these king Kong movie for my purchase in itunes and buy directly from ITunes to watch it in 4K , and they're not able to answer this question for me because since using movies anywhere king kong movie appears in my iTunes purchase and I can't buy it again because it,s already there... How I can delete permanently movie purchase from iTunes. To buy it again and to be able to watch it in 4K directly from iTunes... Is someone experience the same issues and resolve the problem please share it can be very helpful thanks so much...

One thought comes to mind. Disconnect iTunes from Movies Anywhere and see if that removes King Kong from your iTunes library or allows you to delete it. if that works you can then purchase King Kong 4K in iTunes and then reconnect to Movies Anywhere. I have had no reason to try this. Maybe someone else has. Please let us know if this works.

If you own an SD or HD version of a movie that's available in 4K on iTunes, and it didn't get upgraded because it wasn't an iTunes purchase, there is a way to still buy it.

You have to select "Gift This Movie" and it'll let you buy it. Then you can send yourself the "gifted" redemption code and redeem it.

I've done this with a couple movies I owned in HDX in VUDU that transferred to iTunes as HD via Movies Anywhere. After I gifted myself the movies in iTunes, they are now 4K in Tunes.

A much simpler work around. Thank you!
