I noticed the wall charger also gets very hot and will stop charging after 10 minutes. This happened twice. At first I thought maybe I knocked it out of place. It says not charging by the battery on the screen.

Should I take it to apple and ask to exchange it??

So, what is the question? Your charger is getting very hot and NOT charging the iPad and . . . . What was the question?

Yes, my ipad is NOT charging at all. The charger gets very hot. I tried this with the new ipad charger and to test, I used the ipad2 charger and it did the same thing.

What would everyone else do? Take to apple and ask for exchange??

I'd take it in then. I would take a video of it not working just in case it magically starts working again when you take it in.

lol good idea. I'm gonna do that now.

You have a faulty iPad charger.

Thats what I thought at first but then I tried my old ipad2 charger which always worked fine and it did the same thing.

Hmmm...The other one did the same thing. That surprises me...If I were you then, I would just take the iPad back for an exchange...Charging should be continuous and the charger never becomes overly warm.

It does not have to be the charger, it could be the iPad. It is worth using another charger if you have one to see but the iPad might also be faulty.

Steve

If you have used two different chargers and they both over heated and didi not charge your iPad, I would return the iPad today. Go to your nearest Apple store and they should be able to help you out.
