I received my 42mm Sport Space Grey watch on launch day in the UK, yay! However, I only got to enjoy it for 2 and a bit days before I have to now send it back as faulty :(

The first night I charged it up, and no problems there. I went to charge it last night when I went to bed and it didn't react to the charger. I tried a different wall socket, but it was the same. I then tried a different plug (my iPhone plug), but still not charging. So it has to be the cable, or the watch itself.

I contacted Apple via live chat, and they had me do a few things, but no change and suggested I visit a store. I popped in to the local store at lunch today and they tried a different charger (no difference, doh). They then did some diagnostics and have deduced that the watch itself has a hardware fault. My only option now is to return it for a replacement. Gutted!

Does anyone else have a problem with their watch not charging?

I dont have the issue of it NOT charging, but seeing some charging issues. Last evening had it on charger all night. Took off charger and noticed only 5 min later at 93%. I took off the charger approx 8 am. Noticed the 93% and at 915 without much use 87%. At this rate wouldnt last past the afternoon. Going to do a hard reset and see where that gets me

Write off the 8:00 to 8:05 as a glitch, then....

8:05 to 9:15 is 70 minutes. It went down only 6% in those 70 minutes.

It should last another 14 hours, until 11:15pm at that rate.

If the watch gets the specs stated (18+ hours), it SHOULD go down just over 5% an hour. Anything less is gravy.

That's too bad. Hopefully you get your replacement quickly.

Just off the phone with AppleCare, they are sending me a returns box now. He said the turn around time would be 5 to 7 working days, doh :(

I've only had a few days use of it, but I already miss it!

Hard reset seems to have fix my battery issues so far. Once hard reset done it immediately charged to 100%. I took off the charger shortly after 930 am and now almost 7 pm at 71%. I have used it quite a bit today as well. I would say more on target now.

I'm glad your issues are sorted. I did try a hard reset in the hope it would fix mine before I took it to an Apple Store.

I'm back to my dumb watch, lol.

Did they not have stock in store for warranty replacements?

wonder if it is the phone or the cable. An Apple store near you?

Oops, just read a further post. Damn faulty watch

Nope :(

When I phoned AppleCare they said it would be a 5 to 7 business day turn around. I had it for 2 days, and now I have to wait all over again, lol

The replacement watch face got delivered today, finally! Happy again :)
