Anyone ever experienced this?
Yes I Have
I had this one...the motherboard (or 'logic board' as Apple seems to call it) seemed to be broken. However, there are, for as far as I can see, 7 locations of the problem:
MagSafe adapter not working properly.
MagSafe connector not working properly.
Power connection on laptop not working properly.
Intern wiring and electronics broken.
Logic board (motherboard) broken.
Battery damaged for some reason.
Connection between battery contact points and laptop contact points broken.
All these items were examined on my mbpro, replacing every tiny bit after each other. After all, my logic board seemed to be broken. After my local retailer got it replaced, everything was perfectly fine again.
For the internal wiring and electronics, Apple has a so-called 'Battery Assembly Kit'. First they tried a new battery. Then they made a diagnose and ordered and placed a Battery Assembly Kit. At last, they fit in a new motherboard.
