I’ve recently started to experience a pop up when entering the photos app that says not enough device storage and it prompts me to turn on the optimize photos setting. When I look at my Iphone storage it shows I am using 45GB out of 64GB. How am I even remotely close to running out of storage and how do I get this pop up to stop showing up nearly every time I open the photos app?

I have tried restarting the phone. I may try turning on optimize photos and turning it off again to see if that solves it. Anyone else with this issue?

Is it 45GB after or before you "optimize photos"?

Also no that notification can't be disabled.

Keeping full size photos and videos on my phone I am using 45GB of 64GB. I tried optimizing photos (which brought usage down to ~30GB) and turned it off again which brought me back to 45GB used. I haven’t seen the pop up the last 2 days.
