Not enough disk space

I'm wondering when do you know when you need to purchase more memory? I was copying Photos from my camera's card to a folder on my desk top. I then got a warning, not enough disk space. Does this refer to my memory on my computer RAM or ROM? What should I do to solve this problem?

That's hard disk space. Get a bigger hard drive or move/delete some data from your drive to make room.

RAM =/= disk

You are thinking of harddrive, not RAM. Not ROM.
