Count me as one who does all of the above...
In fact, I started a post here twice before and never posted it

I just did that a couple seconds ago. What a coincidence. I too was wondering why my post count is going up very very slowly, even though I'm on MacRumors a lot everyday.

Yes... me too. Despite trying to preview posts more often in order to avoid writing completely misspelled rubbish.

Often give up on a post when I realise that I'm being unnecessarily abrasive, unless it's in the Political Forums.
As opposed to those times of necessary abrasiveness? 🙂

Heh.. I'd love to have had a peek at some of your too-extreme-for-MR rants.

i actually do it a lot in the political forum because well i probably have no idea what i was posting about anyways

I do it quite often as well. Type a response read through it and figure. ahh, it ain't worth it. I guess my post count would be way higher as well. I'm not even close to one post a day. (shame on me)

Yikes... can you imagine how much bigger MR would be if we had all posted all the things that we'd thought about replying to?

And yes, at least once a day I start writing a post and then decide I can't be bothered.

I won't read any post that has more than 5 sentences or 1 paragraph. It's just too much information.

I notice this especially with newbies who write paragraphs and paragraphs of information, only to have it ignored. I don't bother reading long posts, especially those riddled with spelling errors or those without line breaks.

I will often read posts with several paragraphs, but I won't read ridiculously long paragraphs that should be broken up. They're just too hard to follow.
