I have all my notifications set to "show in lock screen" under settings but nothing shows up when I get a text, etc.

A normal shutdown and restart should fix the problem.

You're not getting notifications on your lockscreen because only the notifications you get while your phone is locked show up there. If you are using your phone, and you get something, and you lock it after you receive that text or e-mail or whatever, it won't show up.

If you aren't using your phone and you get something, and you aren't there to look at it, or you ignore it, then it will show up on your lockscreen.

I have that problem as well and didn't think about the pass code until you mentioned it. It makes sense, but sucks for people with corporate syncing who are required to have a pass code.

I also don't have the notification center folder on my home screen, and the pull down window only shows my calendar, and I have yet to see a banner notification. Anybody know why this would be?

    while on the subject...

does anyone know how to configure mail notifications to appear on the lockscreen without waking up the phone from sleep? i don't want it to light up everytime i get an email, but would like to quickly-reference it from the lockscreen. as of now, that's not possible.

I understand that. I'm not getting them when the phone IS locked. In fact, I have everything set to "show in lock screen" and I don't get anything, ever! I'm getting the alert box showing on the lock screen and I don't even have it set to alerts. Am I missing something?

Try this and tell us what happens...

Go to messages, text yourself. the moment you hit send, hit the power button at the top. wait for the text to arrive, and hit power again after it does. then hit the power button (which should show you your lockscreen). if you see the text, that's how it works...if you see nothing, you're effed.

I was having the same problem and found out it's something so simple....have you checked "banner" for alert style? if you selected banner versus the other two options it should work whether you are in the lock screen or on your phone. I just did it and it shows unfortunately, I don't like the big banner interrupting whatever else I am doing so I changed it back to banner. hope this helps.
