Last night, I didn't get three of my Yahoo email notifications. I also don't get them from some third party apps, but I figured that wasn't a big deal. I'm just bothered that my email is not being updated. Anyone else having this problem?

Also as a separate question, does anyone know how I can sync my iPhone up to more than one computer without losing my data? I have my music on 3-4 computers.

Sorry to bump, but I'm still having this issue. I should have gotten an email on my Yahoo account 10+ minutes ago, and no notification when I have Push on. Currently, I'm on 3G (and it's working at the moment, which I mention because I've had issues with my 3G). Wifi is off.

I WAS getting notifications this past weekend (maybe even Monday too).

I know that a couple of third party apps (Toodledo and SplashID) are having some issues with iOS4. Both are programs I use and both are aware of the problems. They supposedly have updates submitted to the app store already.

That helps with third party apps but probably doesn't help with your Yahoo email issues.

I noticed yesterday I wasn't getting push notifications either..

I normally don't have push on, but I turned it on yesterday to do some more battery tests after I restored as new and push didn't work all day

mBox for Mail - push also stopped working (iPhone 4) in the last couple of days.

Also, could someone please clarify Fetch to me? I also have Gmail on here and I have it on Fetch (where Fetch was initially set to manually but I changed it today to every 15 minutes). Fetch "fetches" your email every 15 minutes then? Versus Push "pushes" your email onto your phone?

Since I just set Fetch to every 15 minutes, I haven't been able to test it recently to see if Fetch is working.

I have two emails on Yahoo now (I'm checking via yahoo.com's Quickview, so I'm not opening my emails) which haven't been pushed onto my phone.

EDIT:

Just got a notification. This is on my Gmail (11:55 AM it was sent, and I got it exactly then). I'm under "All Inboxes" right now, and it didn't even refresh itself to show my two Yahoo emails. So I currently still don't have my Yahoo emails pushed onto my phone.

MSNBC, AP, Myspace and Beejive are the ones that are not working on my iPhone 4. They do work on my 3GS running 4.0.

I do use Gmail and me.com for my email and they always push.

I called Apple and the guy who I spoke with suggested that I remove and readd the Yahoo account, which I did. Push notifications are working fine for me now, but this will be a real nuisance if I have to continually remove and readd the email.

App store doesn't even push App updates

Apple's own app store isn't pushing App update notifications for me. I have it in a folder with some other apps and I never see updates unless i go into the app store itself.

Facebook app is doing a fine job of pushing update notices to the folder level.

anyone else notice this?

This is working perfect for me. Try wiping out account via settings and reinstall.

That said, my gmail is not pushing. I have it linked to my native email app. Do I need to change it to an Exchange account?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A293 Safari/6531.22.7)

CNN app push notifications aren't working either.

How do you get push notifications for the Mail app?

How do you get push notifications for the Mail app?

A) you set it up that way, and

B) your mail server supports it

Note, you don't set a window for the push, what you get is the badge updating.

My push gmail, and 3rd party app notifications have been spotty and inconsistant since I updated to the iphone 4 as well..
