I also noticed:

WIFI on iPhone 13PM is much better than iPhone 12 PM.
4G/LTE on iPhone 13PM is worse than iPhone 12 PM.

I believe you. I tested eSIM when they were still testing it and it wasn’t that great in terms of signal, speed and unable to receive short code on iPhone 12 PM. I used eSIM again after getting iPhone 13 PM to visit my usual places and it’s still not that great as SIM. Today, I switched back to physical SIM. A lot of users think there is no difference but actually there is. I recommend using a SIM.
You’ve convinced me to walk into an ATT store and get a real SIM card. Thanks. I’ll report outcomes on here

So I do not want to start a comparison thread but I'm coming from an S21 Ultra which I still have and when it comes to wifi and cellular data it is MUCH faster than my 13 pro max. I've done several tests and my S21 ultra can pull over 400 Mbps on wifi consistently whereas my 13 pro max goes up to 250. Don't they use the same Qualcomm wifi chip?
I have the S21 ultra as well and the connectivity difference between the iPhone 13 pro max seems negligible. Both perform equally on both wifi and cellular for me

iPhones don’t use qualcomm wifi chip. It’s their own wifi chip based on broadcom I believe, for years now. But seeing other comments it seems you’re the only one with the problem

I’m using esim on my 13 pro max on T-Mobile and my 5G results have been seemingly a bit better than my 12 pro was and that was using a physical sim.

Just ran a Speedtest while sitting in my bedroom:

I’m on T-Mobile too. Great for you since you’re in area of 5G UC. Did you ran a test before you traded in your 12 Pro?

Not for my use case since I don’t use cellular at home because of WiFi. Opted for Signal Booster because of dead spot in the house esp on the ground level. They recently expanded 5G in my area but only got 2 bars ~ 50mbps and ~200mbps using LTE booster

Still have the 12 pro and my son has a 12 pro. Been doing a lot of testing because I wanted to see if there were differences between the 12 and 13 and also see if I saw any difference between esim and physical sim (using the r15 sims). In all my testing the past couple days I haven’t found any negative impact to using an esim.

I'm having the same wifi issue as barondebxl. iPhone 13 pro consistently slower and lower wifi signal strength (first time I've ever see 2 'bars' vs. 3 in wifi) as my iPhone 12 Pro. I have reset phone 2x with no improvement. I was able to test against another iPhone 13 pro (my wife got one) and mine is consistently slower in speed tests.

Maybe it’s just your carrier (which you should tell us). I have eSIM with TELUS, Freedom Mobile and EE. I have no issues and have never had any. I’ve also had eSIM with O2 UK and Vodafone UK.

Don’t generalise the eSIM issues you have (which are probably related to your specific carrier) on all carriers.
