Sooner or later

I just bought an iphone for 169 pounds. I am very happy with the phone but edge is a bit crappy. The coverage and the speed.

I would upgrade depending how much the new version will cost. i will wait a while to see the price come down a bit and then get the new version and unlock the current edge version. I need two phones because I travel a lot. To do s SIM swap would be very helpful.

my iphone is kinda scratched up, do you think it would still sell on ebay or no?

what I wanted to do was take the iPhone to the Apple store and say that I am getting alot of dropped calls or my screen doesn't respond at times so that I can replace this phone and sell it like that

One more thing

If you can tether the 3g to say a macbook air and use it as a mobile broadband connection for the computer, now that would be very sweet and very tempting to upgrade.

I'm upgradin, not for the features but mainly for the memory i only have a 4 gig iPhone and i don't got enough room for all my songs so i im sellin mine on ebay in June
I don't use mine for music anyway so it doesn't matter. I liked my old nano far better as an iPod; the iPhone to me is a pain to use and produces static when used in the car, so its music features are worthless to me. I would prefer the 4GB version, or an iPhone w/o the iPod.

An iPhone without the iPod....hmmm, seems to me the iPhone kind of needs the iPod, no? I mean why would Apple make an iPhone with no iPod...hmmm

That may well be, but the iPod functions of the iPhone just don't suit my style. I do use the other functions though, such as Safari, Stock, Weather, and Mail. I just don't need an iPod that I have to look at to operate. To each his own I guess.

I'm definitely not upgrading until at least the next revision. The first thing is I will be HIGHLY disappointed if it has a glossy black back like the picture that has been floating around. I HATE GLOSSY STUFF. Gloss is for women's lips, not freekin' phones. I also just spent $35 on a case and just got this phone a month ago. The 3G speed would be nice, but I don't usually sit around needing that extra speed. I would rather have more storage space than 3G, but I'm betting both will come.

I got this 8GB model to put an end to the crack-like obsession I had with getting one. I was really tempted to get an 80GB iPod Classic because of the storage capacity, but I found a refurb iPhone. Alas, I'm hoping to use this iPhone until the capacity hits 64GB or more. If 3G, GPS, and a little extra storage are all that comes with the new version, I can definitely wait at least another year.

I am surprised how many of you live near 3G. The closest 3G network to me is about 5 hours away. Crazy to think that so many of you have access to it.

I live 30 minutes from the busiest airport in the world, so you think I'd better be near it! But if I drive 20 minutes east of here, not even an hour away from said airport, I'm out of 3G range. Ironically, this was the home of BellSouth until AT&T bought it.

But I'm betting that not a single one of my relatives that lives in Alabama is in a 3G coverage area. I honestly don't even know if there's a single foot of 3G coverage in Alabama. So basically if you're in major city, you're probably OK. Outside of that, beware.

I most likely will be upgrading. I am hoping to see a decent improve over edge, which at times can be painfully slow even with good reception.
