Not receiving digital touches?

I can send digital touches and my friend receives them but I don't seem to get the ones he sends me. Anyone got any ideas as to a fix?

I can also send them to myself successfully.

YES!!!

I have been missing out on a few of my friends drawings and stuff. Its random but yes, its happening.

Not sure if it would help, but perhaps cycling iMessage off and back on again?
