Not receiving every mail in time

This is really weired. Sometimes I'm wondering why I haven't received mails that I should've gotten already only tcheck it on the iPhone or the homepage afterwards and see that it's already there, but not in the mail app of my iMac. Even if I recheck the inbox it won't arrive until hours later. That's extremely annoying. How can this be fixed😕

Change the IMAP polling time to something shorter, maybe.
