Not receiving notifications from certain contacts in Messages (5.1.1)

I just noticed the other day that three contacts in my Messages app have the speaker with a slash through it by their name. I receive no notifications or any alert at all when I receive a text from them. Everyone else comes through just fine. I can't figure out how only 3 contacts have this issue. Any ideas?

This is what I'm talking about. The contacts with the icon I do not receive alerts for. I don't know how to change it.

That doesn't look like the stock Messages App

It's BiteSMS, never run into this problem with 5.0.1. I am on 5.1.1 with the absinthe JB.

Thats bitesms you have to hold down on the contact and the bell with the slash will go away. Thats slient mode for that person
