Not receiving verification email

Trying to set my iPad up with iCloud, yet whenever I try and use it it tells me my email hasn't been verified and to check my emails, yet I havent had an email. Waited about 8 hours, should have come by now.

Anyone else had this?

Tried clicking the "verify email" button on the appleid page, but that does nothing.
