I am receiving messages from facebook messenger, imessages but not from Samsung phones.....

Yes my phone is fully on and charged...

Any ideas?

Are the messages you are receiving come over the net from other facebook messenger or apple users? If so this tells me that your cell providers texting network is down.

Well, Facebook messanger and iMessage both use internet connectivity to reach your watch and not Text messaging. Could you clarify exactly what type of messages you can't receive from Android based phones?

Basic response:

To receive true Text Messages, SMS/MMS Txt, your iPhone must be on and connected to your carrier's cellular network via cellular connectivity or Wi-Fi Calling connectivity. This is to allow your iPhone to forward your actual "Text" messages to your watch.

Well to reach your watch yes. But the watch can just mirror the phone notifications. And he specifically mentioned his phone in the first post.
But either way, if you get messages via the data network then it says the cell network is having problems. Both facebook messenger and imessage can receiver messages either way depending on how they're sent. So to find the issue one must first look at how the messages are coming. Data or text.

my iPhone is at home connected to LTE at full strength (Verizon).

Again, are these messages coming through as texts or data? Are the senders of facebook messages also using facebook messages to send them? If so it's data and not a text message.
Are imessages you do receive coming from other apple users? As blue messages as opposed to green? If blue then it's data. Green and it's a text message. Coming from a non apple phone it's going to be green and thus a text.

Just to verify, your iPhone must be on the lock screen so that the SMS/MMS Txt messages can be forwarded to your LTE connected watch.

Testing basic SMS/MMS Txt forwarding to watch over LTE (to eliminate a Verizon provisioning issue:

Now the easiest way to check that all is well with your Verizon connection, Tap Setting app, scroll down and Tap Messages. Toggle off iMessages. This will force all messages to be sent via SMS/MMS Txt forwarding to your watch after you lock your iPhone.

Disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your iPhone using the "Settings" app and not the Control panel. Disable Wi-Fi on your watch using the Wi-Fi toggle in the watch Control panel.

Send a regular "Green" SMS/MMS Txt message to an Apple contact asking for a response, lock your iPhone and wait for a SMS/MMS Txt message to appear on your watch.

Let us know the results and remember to re-enable iMessaging in your iPhone Settings app and enable Wi-Fi on your watch after testing.
