Hi,

I have an iMac 5 K mid-2017, OS 13, running Windows 11 in Parallels. I'm trying to connect an app on my main Mac 5,1 (OCLP-patched OS 12.7.5) to a Windows app on the iMac over the LAN. The Macs see each other fine, but for some reason, no matter what configuration I try in Parallels Network settings (Shared, Bridged, or Host Only), I still can't make a connection. I've also tried manually setting the Windows IPV4 and subnet mask to fit with the Mac Pro, but no luck.

I'm hoping what I'm trying to do is possible and would appreciate any guidance.

Thank you

Have you turned off your iMac firewall in network settings? What network port is your Windows app listening for connections?

Hi,
Yes, all iMac firewall settings are disabled, and the iMac can see the Mac Pro. However, for the MP to see the iMac, I have to use 'connect to server' (smb://iMac...). In Windows, I've tried all available network ports (Bridged, Shared & Host), but no joy.
To put all of this into context, I'm trying to get a Cubase Pro DAW on my MP to see a Network Plugin host (VEP 6.5) in Win 11 so that I can offload processing to the iMac.

Thanks

Hi, using ipconfig and Ping, both the VM win 11 (iMac 5k 2017) and the Mac Pro 5,1 see each other but when trying to connect over ethernet, I can connect the MP 5,1 and the iMac, but not the Windows 11 VM on the iMac. Kinda out of ideas as to where the block is. Any ideas or suggestions?
