So, I noticed how much bigger iTunes files seem to be then Google Play's, especially TV Shows, like for example it seems the first episode of The Penguins of Madagascar is 142MB on Google Play vs 290MB on iTunes, anyone know why that is, is it due to the way Apple compresses their videos, since they use a DRM video file/conversion, I think .m4v format.

Just curious why iTunes videos are so much bigger file size, and those sizes are both SD versions, I own both series on Google and iTunes, manly due to the ability to stream them on my Apple TV.

Thanks to anyone, couldn't find anything online, not sure what to google.

Apple uses .m4p encrypted containers for all their content. so it could be Fairplay (DRM) addition, but i think its also encoding Apple does as well.
