i recently setup a wireless printer/scanner. i just noticed this:

i'm sure it probably has to do w/ what i just setup but why is it all numbers? and is the "desk" part normal too? i just have a laptop + wireless printer on my network. there is no desktop computer.

yes its wpa2 personal. is that a bad decision to have it setup that way for a home network? should i be concerned?

That's the best way to have it set up. Just double check that there are no other computers plugged into the router. If there aren't, then I'd click the little triangle to close them and forget about them.

Your network's secure. It must be the printer. Somewhere in the software or settings for the printer there might be a setting for naming the machine. It could just have a generic name right now and that's what you're seeing.

I've seen instances where one machine can be listed twice in Finder so it's probable that both those entries are from the printer.
