I see a bunch of posts about people using RSS feeds, and I see the RSS logo in the URL field of Safari windows.

What are RSS Feeds, and what is the best way to use them?

Thanks!

An RSS feed is a list of recent news/articles from a particular source. For instance, at these forums, there is an RSS feed for the most recent posts. For the CNN website, there are feeds for the most recent and most popular stories.

One can manage RSS feeds with a news reader, such as Google Reader (online), or NetNewsWire (Mac app).
