tim did say that you "just charge it at night" so this leads me to believe it is 1 day.

He was clearly skating around the subject. Which worries me.

They probably didn't announce the battery life because it's still a work in progress. It's not ready to ship this month like the iPhone 6/6+. They said early 2015, not even January 1st. That could be January-March (I think March would be the best bet). They could make much more refinements between now and then to improve battery life via software or even put a larger battery in it.

Heck, they could even put a different chipset in it.

Anywho, this means either it's nothing to write home about, and Apple is still trying to optimize their software to eek out 16 hours per charge,

    or

Cook was playing coy, and it'll be phenomenal. The battery is like 2/3 of the watch from the cutaway they showed.

    But I'm not optimistic.

I agree with this. Early 2015 proabably means marchish

Charge every night means around 16-18 hour life I bet.

March sounds about right. This gives Apple plenty of time to install electrical outlets under trees in parks where people run...for the tree huggers who need to juice up their Apple Watches.

The screen is mostly off, so at least 24 hour standby with 10-15 hour on full brightness.

    i'm still not getting one.

I might get one... I'll have to see it in person first.
