Hey, I'm usually very positive when it comes to Apple, because the majority of the time, they do great stuff. I just feel iOS6 is quite bland. I suppose we always expect so much from Apple, we're bound to be let down every now and again.

Hahaha....its funny my gf just said that. I guess I love my MB Air so much i want to love my iphone the same way lol.

I agree, but you are opening a thread in an apple fan boy forum that probably will hate you if you say anything bad about Apple or their products (which will suck this year big time comparing to their competitors).
I'm still debating in getting iPhone 5 over my iPhone 4, I can't see any benefit in the new one except maybe for the screen (I don't care for LTE support, I mainly do basic surfing. I don't need my iPhone to be able to stream Blu-ray movies - it's useless).

In the current beta Maps is unusable in my location (showing land where there should be water, greyscale satellite imagery, and other errors) and I use it regularly enough to want it to be reliable. I'm going to wait and see whether it's fixed in the release version before upgrading.

I don't use the YouTube app often and probably won't have a problem with Google's replacement.

However, I can't make any sort of decision until the announcement. If the new iPhone has a "must have" secret feature then I may dive right in!

You can say that again, I hate the biased opinions. We can be a fan of Apple and still be impartial.

But it's not just that, I feel as if there is no revolutionary features this year in iOS, it's quite lackluster and dull, the only thing that really interests me is the ability to stream iTunes match music.
Although iOS 6 is underwhelming at first, there are few features that I find to be potential game changers.

1. Shared Photo Stream

A private Facebook. I can easily share photos to carefully selected group of people and just like Facebook, viewers can comment and like, or save to their album as they like. And all without counting against my iCloud storage limit.

2. Maps

For navigation, even if you prefer TomTom, NAVIGON, etc., turn-by-turn UI on Maps app is so superior that I think 3rd party apps will finally make some attempt to make their apps look nicer.

As for missing features from iOS 5 Maps app (e.g., street view, transit), I strongly suspect Google will be releasing their own Maps in coming weeks.

3. iPad Guided Access

As a parent to a 4-year old, I find this feature to be indispensable.

4. App Store

No more entering password to update apps. 'nuff said.

5. Do Not Disturb

I can't go back to not having do not disturb mode.

6. Privacy

Much overdue ability to monitor and curb access to shared iOS resources (location, contacts, calendars, reminders, photos, Bluetooth, Twitter, Facebook).

7. Passbooks

OK, we don't quite know the full extent of how Passbooks will change the landscape, but I am at least excited about the potential.

Going to wait until iOS6 gets an untethered jb before I update - SBsettings is too good to live without
