Hi,

I've been using a DELL U2415 connected to the MBP16 via a HP USB-C Hub. This hub provides one HDMI port, 2 USB-A ports and 1 USB-C with PD. This has been working fine for USB-A and HDMI with Catalina (despite the GPU heat issue).

But I just upgraded to Big Sur, and HDMI output is completely gone. USB function is still OK.

Have attempted resetting SMC and NVRAM as per Apple documentation, to no avail. Also installed DisplayLink software, no change.

So be careful if you're using the same HP stuff!

Connecting the Hub's USB-C port to the Apple charger did not help with mine, only USB function works. In fact, no HDMI *and* no charging either. Although, I wasn't using the charging port before, so I have no idea if that worked before the upgrade or not.

Do you have any other displays connected?

Also, I said USB function was ok, but charging via the dongle is not working either.
