The Note 3 has quality control issues of it's home, many people online are saying they're having loose home buttons. How come it's not making headlines like Apple's Maps or Scuff-Gate why do people always hate on apple?!

First off, I see nothing wrong with his home button in that video. Secondly, isn't it obvious why it doesn't make national headlines? The Note 3 (while I a nice device) caters to a much, much smaller audience then the iPhone does.

Besides, a few Note 3s with a home button that wiggles isn't exactly whats going to draw attention.

Mine's solid as a damn rock. So is my 5s. Nyah nyah. (my i5 had scuffs all down the edges after a week and all buttons were loose...Apple wouldn't replace - I deserve a couple good devices this time)

Because it's not Apple. It doesn't have the same massive number of users as the iPhone.

How many iPhone 5S users are there? How many Note 3 users? Or are you referring to all iPhones and all Samsung Note phones?

As for why Apple made more headlines compared to a few Note 3 users complaining about a wiggly home button, may have something to do with the fact that every single iPhone 5 had to be handled with kid gloves, or it would dent, scratch or bend. Mine came straight from the factory with scratches and dents. That is a serious QA issue and deserves headlines.

Are you really trying to compare a home button that wiggles (looks very minor btw) to Apples slew of issues?

There are barely any QC issues with Samsungs phones. Apples QC issues? You can write a novel.

Scuffs on the phone.
Yellow screen
Loose buttons (to be fair alot of Samsung phones have this issue)
Fingerprint scanner not recognizing
Gyroscope off

Can't tell if serious or not.

My Note 3 home button "wiggles" when I push up and down like that in the video.

But after having loose home buttons, volume buttons, and sleep/wake buttons on my iPhones, I'm used to it. (Also had issues with dead pixels and dust under the screen and camera lens and we all know about the scuffing issue last year :()

So 1 video of 1 person having a minor wiggly home button is now suddenly indicative of the build quality of the whole...... ???

Drama......

This is more if a problem for people with OCD. My home button will go up so its off center. But then again I don't stare at my home button I stare at the screen....
Would have never noticed on my own if it weren't for the AP article.

I searched the internet for this issue. I found the video you linked and two posts by the same person who posted that video on two different Android forums.

I don't think this quantifies as "many people online"...

Older iphone modells have the exact same problem, more often than not the "square" is unaligned and slighlty skewed if you push the button up/down. It's a non issue.

Doesn't look like there was anything wrong with that home button.

get some glasses. He barely touches the buttons and they are moving how can u not see that? I would had just returned the phone and got a new one problem solved.

The home button of my sister's iPad 2 had worn out. Also, some of my friends are resorting to some of the accessibility settings so they won't have to tap the physical home button, out of of fear of wearing it out. ;)

I saw your nickname and immediately didn't take you seriously...

Sorry but it's true.

And now we see the 5S is being plagued by a BSOD. Blue Screen of Death baby. iOS is becoming more Windows 97 like by the day. :D

My Note 3 has no QC issues I've discovered, but even if it did, I'd likely not be up in arms over it. It's a cheap feeling and looking all plastic phone. It's obvious I paid a premium solely for the large screen, battery and internals. The shell is not premium in the least and the average consumer expects far less in fit/finish than from an Apple product. Perceived value of Apple products is sooooo much higher that people become genuinely outraged at even the smallest blemishes. This is Samsung....you simply don't expect as much.
