note keeper recommendations?

I am currently using DevonThink and I have tested EverNote. I don't really like either of them.

What would you recommend? I want to store text snippets only. If I can synchronize with my laptop and/or iphone as well it would be brilliant.

You might consider Circus Ponies Notebook. OmniOutliner is another excellent notetaking application that is quite flexible yet has an outline's linearity. Curio combines an interesting array of tools.
